Caroline’s best man speech 

Hey everyone. So yeah, I don’t usually do this. I’ve never been a best man, let alone been in a wedding so excuse me if this speech sucks. So, if you didn’t know Tom is my best friend and we have been for a very long time. We’ve sort of been each others anchors in the world for as long as I can remember.

I love the man to bits and when he asked me to be his best man, I swear I couldve died. But, this speech isn’t about me, now, is it? It’s about Tom and Romy. Well, Tom you already know I love you and Romy.. *looks at her* I dont think that Tom could’ve found a better person to spend his life with.

Im sure you know, he’s always been sort of out there. Oh oh,! watch out, embarassing part of the speech coming up..

He wasn’t the type of Guy you wanted to date. You just slept with him and moved on because he didn’t really care for anything more. I saw this happen time after time, girl after girl and i saw it kill him bit by bit. EVen though he didn’t even notice, I did and it killed me inside.

But then you came in the picture, Romy. And he did a complete 360. You transformed him, you changed him for the better. Turned him into the Tom most people didn’t know. For the first time in a very long time, I saw him smile. And he hasn’t stopped smiling since, the dork. And I mean really smile, like he is right now.

You make him happy Romy and, as I can see clearly, he makes you happy which I believe is the greatest treasure of life.

I would threaten that if you ever hurt him I would kill you but a) I don’t want to go to jail and b) im so positive you never will that I don’t even need to suggest it. And well, I already threatened Tom before the ceremony.

It’s not going to be easy but I am so sure you guys will pull through it, cause I can see the love you have for each other everytime you walk into a room. *smiles*

So.. im not sure what im supposed to do now, Im guessing its a toast. So.. here’s a toast, to Romy and Tom. May you fill each others lives with happiness, laughter, anger, tears, flowers, anniversaries, hardships, vacations, love and all that good stuff that comes with marriage. To Tom and Romy!
